NJJKC 2004 British Open
The Combat Academy returned from the National Ju-Jutsu Kumite Council's British Open with six National Champions (Olly Bohn, Becky Hayes, Kate Bishop, Dan Hayes, Emma Baker, Greg Matthews) and two Bronze medallists (Bram Roberts, Luciano Celozzi). Report and photo.....

Combat Open Grappling Challenge
Sunday 17th October 2004
Academy fighter Neil Preedy travelled to Worcester to compete in his first no-gi submission fighting event. After a bye in the first round Neil submitted his first opponent with a triangle strangle. In his next fight Neil lost to the eventual Gold medallist after a very tough fight. In a close fight for the bronze medal, Neil eventually had to submit to a strangle and so finished in a very creditable fourth place.
